The Sidam/Gram Polar 12–14 rows is a rotary machine intended for the industrial production of ice cream on stick. After the refurbishment work, it can represent an opportunity for companies that need to expand an existing line, replace a system or increase production capacity.
The rotary machine configuration allows a declared production of 18,000 pieces per hour, placing this refurbished machine among LAIeF’s high-capacity proposals.
On the site, for comparison, there are currently refurbished rotary machines with capacities of 5,000, 6,000 and 12,000 pieces/hour, as well as other configurations intended for different production levels.
The work does not concern only the machine structure. The Polar has a stainless steel frame and is equipped with a new electric system, a new pneumatic system and new pumps for brine circulation.
The configuration also includes a new volumetric filler, a volumetric sucker and a time-controlled filler with the possibility of subdivision into five parts. A 60–70 cc mould with nine segments and a Sidam/Gram Polopak 8.2 are available.
For the refrigeration system, it is possible to use a side evaporator combined with a system with an NH3 compressor, ammonia, or Freon, according to the configuration indicated in the machine documentation.
One of the aspects to highlight is the possibility of integrating additional devices and processing units according to the product that the customer intends to make. This approach is consistent with the way we work, including on other refurbished machines, on which we can install new moulds, fillers and specific equipment.
We have a workshop dedicated to the refurbishment of in line and rotary machines for the industrial production of ice cream. Refurbished machines undergo checks before being reintroduced into the production cycle.
LAIeF’s experience also includes interventions, upgrades and spare parts supply for machines by other manufacturers. Assistance can be provided remotely or directly at the customer’s plant. For the Sidam/Gram Polar 12–14 rows, the technical team can therefore verify the available configuration with the customer and evaluate any adaptations or additional equipment needed to integrate it into the production line.
